Washington, D.C. – Representative Gary Palmer (AL-06) extended his congratulations to Hoover High School’s Air Force Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) for their achievements in the recent competition season.

“Congratulations to Hoover High School’s Air Force JROTC on an outstanding competition season,” said Rep. Palmer. He further commended the team's success by stating, “This season, the team brought home 50 trophies from competitions and placed in three events at Nationals. The team’s hard work paid off, and they have made the city of Hoover proud. I look forward to seeing these students keep up the great work!”

Highlighting the importance of JROTC programs in shaping responsible citizens, Rep. Palmer emphasized, “ROTC programs, like the one at Hoover High School, are dedicated towards developing students into upstanding citizens who value serving their country and communities. These programs are vital to our nation and our armed services.” He also mentioned his support for JROTC programs by cosponsoring Rep. Michael Waltz’s bill, H.R. 7977, aimed at supporting and preserving such programs.
