Washington, D.C. – Representative Gary Palmer (AL-06) has criticized National Public Radio (NPR) for its alleged ideological bias. His comments followed a House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations hearing titled “Examining Accusations of Ideological Bias at NPR, a Taxpayer Funded News Entity.”

“Today’s hearing served to show that National Public Radio (NPR) is highly partisan and heavily planted toward left-wing ideology,” said Rep. Palmer. “The old saying of ‘he who pays the piper calls the tune’ rings true with NPR, because as I pointed out in the hearing, the content of NPR is driven by its revenue sources. The same people funding NPR are the same ones supporting Democrat candidates and funding Pro-Palestine protests on our college campuses. As a result, NPR has turned into a propaganda machine supporting the political agenda of left-wing billionaires and Democrat politicians.”

In conclusion, Rep. Palmer commended Chairman Griffith for holding the hearing and expressed his anticipation for future sessions. He stressed that it is crucial to continue holding NPR accountable.
