U.S. Senator Katie Britt has voiced criticism against Senate Democrats regarding the Homeland Security Appropriations bill, labeling it as partisan and flawed. According to Britt, who serves as the Ranking Member of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, the bill fails to address crucial border security needs.

Britt stated, "On a unilateral, partisan basis, Senate Democrats chose to post a Homeland Security bill that falls woefully short of what’s needed to combat America’s border crisis and strengthen interior immigration enforcement." She expressed disappointment with this development following President Trump's recent election victory.

She further commented on the implications for future governance: "Senate Democrats know he is going to immediately take action to clean up the Biden-Harris Administration’s mess at the border, so instead of working with Republicans to create a responsible appropriations bill they chose to release a product that would leave a Trump Administration short of the resources they need to secure our border."

Britt concluded by asserting that changes will be made when Republicans regain majority control in January: "This is clearly not what the American people want. When Republicans return to the majority in January, we will fix what Democrats have broken."
