U.S. Senator Katie Britt recently appeared on the Livin’ The Bream Podcast with FOX News Sunday anchor Shannon Bream to discuss her legislative initiatives and priorities. The conversation focused on bipartisan efforts to address youth mental health and child care issues, as well as plans for the upcoming Republican majority in the U.S. Senate alongside President-elect Donald J. Trump.

Senator Britt emphasized collaboration across party lines, particularly highlighting her work with Senator John Fetterman on social media-related legislation. "It’s my belief that if you share a common goal with someone from the other side of the aisle, you have a duty to the people that you serve to get in a room and to try to figure out a pathway forward," she stated.

Addressing child care challenges, Britt mentioned working with Senator Tim Kaine: "The availability and affordability of child care was something I wanted to make sure that I addressed right off the bat in getting here."

Regarding the Republican majority and Trump's return, Britt noted, "On November 5, the American people spoke, and they spoke loudly. And with that comes a lot of responsibility." She expressed anticipation for discussions about government funding and border security.

Britt has been active in proposing legislation such as the Stop the Scroll Act and Kids Off Social Media Act, aimed at addressing social media's impact on mental health. Additionally, she introduced several bills related to child care accessibility and support for families.
