U.S. Senator Katie Britt from Alabama has expressed her satisfaction in participating in the certification of electoral votes for President Donald J. Trump. The certification process took place as part of Congress's duties on January 6, 2025.

Senator Britt released a statement regarding the event, saying, "I was proud to participate in certifying the election of our nation’s 47th President, Donald J. Trump. His resounding, historic victory in November was a message from the American people that they want a president who will put them first—making America safe, strong, and prosperous again."

The senator also shared her enthusiasm for the upcoming inauguration ceremony: "I’m excited for the start of President Trump’s second term, and I look forward to attending his and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance’s inauguration two weeks from today."
