On February 4, 2025, Rep. Sewell commemorated Rosa Parks' birthday by noting her significant role in American history: "Rosa Parks was born exactly 112 years ago today. Her quiet, dignified courage sparked the beginning of the Montgomery Bus Boycott and changed our nation forever."
Later that day, she announced a legislative effort alongside Rep. Arrington to reintroduce a healthcare bill: "Proud to join @RepArrington to reintroduce the Nancy Gardner Sewell Medicare MCED Screening Coverage Act, named for my mother. Our bill would expand access to early detection cancer screenings." The tweet also highlighted support from Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott.
In another tweet on the same day, Rep. Sewell expressed strong disapproval regarding an alleged decision involving Elon Musk and U.S. Treasury matters: "An unelected billionaire has NO business handling Americans' private and personal information. For Donald Trump to hand Elon Musk full access to the U.S. Treasury payment system is not only an egregious violation of privacy, it is dangerous for our national security!"
