U.S. Senator Katie Britt has announced her subcommittee assignments on the Senate Judiciary Committee for the 119th Congress. Senator Britt will serve on four subcommittees, including the Subcommittee on Border Security and Immigration and the Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism. These roles will involve crafting legislative solutions to support efforts to secure the southern border and overseeing agencies such as the FBI and DEA.

“I am honored to join the Border Security and Immigration and the Crime and Counterterrorism Subcommittees. Both of these subcommittees will play a pivotal role in making America safer," stated Senator Britt. She emphasized her commitment to strengthening border security, reducing fentanyl flow, and supporting law enforcement with necessary resources.

In addition to these roles, Senator Britt will participate in the Subcommittees on Intellectual Property (IP) and Antitrust, Competition Policy, and Consumer Rights. These assignments aim to enhance innovation protection, counter unfair practices by China, and ensure market access for small businesses.

“Strengthening our nation’s IP protections will help usher in a new era of American prosperity," said Senator Britt. She highlighted Alabama's role in innovation and committed to ensuring competitiveness through IP protections.

Senator Britt made history as the first Republican female attorney appointed to the Senate Judiciary Committee at the start of this Congress. She continues her service on other committees including Appropriations, Banking, and Rules.
