U.S. Senator Katie Britt expressed her support following the confirmation of Russ Vought as the director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) under President Trump. The Senate confirmed Vought's nomination with a 53-47 vote.

Britt emphasized Vought's experience, noting his previous service in the same role during Trump's first administration. She highlighted the importance of addressing government spending, stating, "Director Vought brings crucial experience to the OMB, having previously served in this role under the first Trump Administration. I have long called for the need to cut reckless government spending—not only is the United States $36 trillion in debt, but we now pay more on the service of our debt than we do for our national defense."

Senator Britt further explained her stance by expressing confidence in Vought's ability to initiate necessary changes. "Director Vought understands this is both fiscally and morally irresponsible, and he’s committed to true systemic change," she said. "It is past time to hold Washington accountable to American taxpayers for runaway, wasteful spending that has fueled inflation and endangered our nation’s future. I am confident Director Vought is the right choice to accomplish this."
