U.S. Senator Katie Britt of Alabama has expressed her support for Brooke Rollins, President Donald Trump's nominee for Secretary of Agriculture. The Senate confirmed Rollins with a vote of 72-28.

Senator Britt emphasized the importance of agriculture in America, stating, "Secretary Rollins understands the critical role American agriculture plays in not just feeding, fueling, and clothing America but in protecting our national security." She believes that under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Rollins, those involved in agriculture will receive necessary support to continue their contributions to the nation.

Britt also highlighted her intention to collaborate with both President Trump and Secretary Rollins on future agricultural policies. "I’m looking forward to working with President Trump and Secretary Rollins as a partner to ensure our next Farm Bill is focused on our agriculture community and Alabama’s family farmers can continue to thrive for generations to come," she said.

In December, Senator Britt met with Brooke Rollins to discuss her vision for the Department of Agriculture. Following their meeting, Britt described Rollins as "a champion for putting Americans first" who will advocate for those who work in agriculture. She expressed optimism about strengthening family farms together with Rollins.
