U.S. Senator Katie Britt, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, has expressed her support for Kash Patel's nomination as the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). On February 13, 2025, she voted in favor of his nomination and endorsed its advancement to the full Senate.

Senator Britt stated, "Kash Patel is ready to return the FBI’s focus to protecting the American people from terrorists, hostile foreign actors, and violent criminals. As the Director of the FBI, he will end weaponization at the agency to ensure the days of targeting Americans for their political beliefs are over." She emphasized her belief that Patel will prioritize American national security and expressed her eagerness to vote for him on the Senate floor.

Additionally, Senator Britt extended an invitation to Patel to visit Alabama once confirmed as FBI Director. She highlighted Redstone Arsenal's significant contribution to national security and anticipated introducing him to Alabamians dedicated to safeguarding the homeland.

During a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Britt commended Patel's commitment to enhancing America's safety and security. She remarked on his dedication to protecting citizens and upholding constitutional values. "I have heard you say . . . your duty is to protect American citizens, that you will work to uphold the Constitution," said Britt.

The discussion also focused on Alabama's role in national security through Redstone Arsenal. Patel assured Senator Britt of his intention to visit Alabama and strengthen FBI operations in Huntsville. He affirmed this by saying, "Senator, you have that commitment."
