U.S. Senator Katie Britt has announced a $20.3 million investment from the Department of Transportation for the St. Bernard Bridge in Cullman, Alabama. The funding will be used to replace and relocate the existing two-lane bridge on U.S. Highway 278/AL Highway 69 over Eight Mile Creek.
Senator Britt expressed her satisfaction with the allocation, stating, "This $20.3 million for replacing the St. Bernard Bridge is a huge win for the people of Cullman County and Alabamians who travel this important thoroughfare. This critical infrastructure improvement is a strategic and responsible investment for our state’s future." She also emphasized her commitment to advocating for funding that benefits Alabama communities.
