U.S. Senator Katie Britt from Alabama has cast her vote in favor of President Donald Trump's nominee, Dan Driscoll, for the position of Secretary of the Army. The Senate confirmed Driscoll's nomination with a 66-28 vote.
Senator Britt expressed her support by stating, "Today, I was proud to vote to confirm my friend Dan Driscoll as Secretary of the Army. I am confident Secretary Driscoll’s leadership will support our soldiers and modernize the Army’s cutting-edge capabilities and assets to ensure our warfighters remain the best equipped, trained, and ready in the world."
Britt also emphasized Driscoll's understanding of Alabama's role in national defense: "Secretary Driscoll understands and appreciates the tremendous role Alabama’s Army installations play in strengthening America’s national defense and force readiness.
