At approximately 11:41 PM, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the 2200 Block of Pawnee Village Road in Pinson to investigate reports of a person being struck by a vehicle. Upon arrival, it was determined that a 61-year-old male was walking at Pawnee Village Road, when he was struck by a vehicle. The driver of that vehicle remained at the location. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Traffic Reconstruction Team are conducting the investigation into the circumstances surrounding this fatality. It has not yet been determined if criminal charges will be filed in this incident.
