U.S. Senator Katie Britt has issued a statement in response to President Joe Biden's decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden. In her statement, Senator Britt criticized the President's action as a "self-serving slap in the face to everyday Americans."
Senator Britt expressed that this move by President Biden is another example of what she perceives as broken promises and contributes to his unpopularity. She stated, "This is yet another blatant broken promise by President Biden and exemplifies why he has been the most unpopular president in modern U.S. history."
The senator further accused the Biden Administration of using the justice system against political opponents, saying, "From concerned parents at school board meetings to President Trump, the Biden Administration has spent four years weaponizing the justice system to target its political adversaries." She suggested that President Biden views his family as victims of this so-called lawfare.
Britt emphasized her belief that there is a need for change in how justice is administered in America. She said, "This blanket pardon...is an example of the type of two-tiered justice that the American people are sick of."
Looking ahead to the incoming administration, Britt mentioned that "the incoming Trump Administration has an electoral mandate to get politics out of the DOJ and restore blind justice under the law." She highlighted that President Trump’s nominated cabinet is prepared to fulfill this mandate and deliver change.
Concluding her statement, Senator Britt expressed eagerness for January 20th when she anticipates these changes will begin with Trump's administration taking office.
