U.S. Senator Katie Britt has expressed her support for Kristi Noem following her confirmation as Homeland Security Secretary. Senator Britt, who serves as the chair of the Senate Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee and is a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued a statement emphasizing the need for effective border security measures.

“After four years of Biden-Harris open borders policies fueling an unprecedented humanitarian and national security crisis at our southern border, it’s clear the American people deserve a Secretary of Homeland Security who is actually committed to securing our homeland," said Senator Britt. She affirmed her belief that Noem will "end the abuse of our immigration laws that has devastated families and communities across our nation."

Senator Britt highlighted that under President Trump and Tom Homan's leadership, Secretary Noem would contribute to strengthening border security and enhancing interior immigration enforcement. She identified this as one of her main priorities in the 119th Congress. “I’m excited to work with Secretary Noem to reverse years of failed immigration enforcement and return DHS’ focus to true homeland security,” she added.
