U.S. Senator Katie Britt has expressed her support for Sean Duffy, who was confirmed as Secretary of Transportation following a Senate vote of 77-22. Duffy's nomination by President Trump aligns with the administration's focus on revitalizing the nation's infrastructure.

Senator Britt stated, "President Trump is committed to ensuring America’s economy gets back on track, which necessitates updating aging, crumbling infrastructure for safer, more efficient travel. Sean Duffy is ready to implement that agenda as Secretary of Transportation." She highlighted Duffy's experience in strategic infrastructure from his time in the U.S. House of Representatives and praised his record of providing commonsense solutions.

Britt emphasized her confidence in Duffy's ability to modernize infrastructure across air, land, and sea to benefit American families and businesses. "I was proud to support Sean Duffy as our next Secretary of Transportation because I firmly believe he will ensure Alabama and America’s infrastructure—air, land, and sea—is modernized to support America’s families, farmers, small businesses, and industry," she remarked.

Britt also mentioned her belief that Duffy would collaborate effectively with Congress to address issues such as the permitting system while moving away from policies associated with the Biden-Harris Administration's Green New Deal.
