U.S. Senator Katie Britt recently addressed the Senate, expressing her support for President Trump's immigration policies and urging further legislative action. Her speech came shortly after Congress passed her Laken Riley Act, aimed at removing criminal illegal aliens from U.S. streets.

Senator Britt praised the recent changes in immigration policy: “January 2025 has been a turning point for the United States of America,” she stated, highlighting President Trump's actions to revamp border and immigration policies. She noted that Congress is now sending strong immigration enforcement legislation to the president's desk for the first time since 1996.

The senator underscored that recent electoral outcomes indicated public demand for stronger border policies: “The results of the November election were a signal from the people we represent," she said. "With the Laken Riley Act, we’ve started to deliver on that verdict."

In addition to celebrating this legislative milestone, Senator Britt reintroduced the WALL Act, which proposes $25 billion to complete a wall on the southern border without increasing taxes or national debt. She explained how this would be achieved: “We’d fund the wall by fixing yet another issue with our immigration system.” The bill aims to eliminate taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants and impose fines on those who enter or overstay illegally.

Britt reiterated her dedication to border security: “There is no greater responsibility we have, no higher calling we can seek, than Making America Safe Again.” As Chair of the Homeland Security Appropriations Subcommittee, she committed to securing necessary resources for immigration enforcement.

Senator Britt’s remarks reflect ongoing efforts by Republicans to address immigration and border security as part of their broader agenda.
