U.S. Senator Katie Britt addressed the Senate Committee on Small Business, introducing President Donald Trump's nominee for the head of the Small Business Administration (SBA), former U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler.

Britt emphasized Loeffler's suitability for the role, highlighting her understanding of small business challenges. "Kelly is the perfect choice to lead the SBA . . . 99.4% of the businesses in the great state of Alabama are small," Britt stated, referencing her personal connection as a daughter of small business owners and acknowledging regulatory burdens that impact smaller enterprises.

Loeffler's career trajectory was noted by Britt, who described her as a prolific job creator with a compelling American success story. "Kelly grew up on a family farm, became the first in her family to earn a college degree, and worked her way up to the highest levels of business," Britt remarked. Loeffler's experience at Intercontinental Exchange was cited as evidence of her capability in building successful ventures.

Ahead of this hearing, Britt met with Loeffler to discuss issues facing small businesses nationwide and expressed confidence in Loeffler's advocacy for Main Street businesses. "I have absolute confidence in Kelly’s ability to strengthen our Main Streets... Helping our small businesses thrive like never before is what I am confident she will do."

Senator Britt concluded by expressing optimism about Loeffler's potential impact on reducing regulatory barriers and supporting entrepreneurs across America.
