U.S. Senator Katie Britt has expressed her support following the confirmation of Chris Wright as Secretary of Energy. The Senate confirmed Wright's nomination with a 59-38 vote.

Senator Britt, representing Alabama, released a statement regarding her decision to back Wright for the position. She stated, "I was proud to vote to confirm Chris Wright as President Trump’s Energy Secretary." She emphasized that Wright is a leader in energy innovation and brings substantial experience to the Department of Energy.

Britt highlighted the potential benefits of Wright's leadership, noting that it aligns with President Trump's energy strategy. "As a proven leader in energy innovation, Secretary Wright brings decades of experience to the Department that will help him skillfully implement President Trump’s all-of-the-above, America First energy agenda," she said. According to Britt, this approach aims to boost America's economy, reduce costs for families, create well-paying jobs, and enhance national security.

The senator also shared her optimism about meeting with Secretary Wright and his plans for the department. "I was excited to hear Secretary Wright’s plans for the Department of Energy when I met with him," she remarked. Britt conveyed confidence in his ability to advance President Trump's vision by maximizing domestic energy production capabilities.

The confirmation marks an important step towards achieving what Senator Britt described as not only American energy independence but also dominance on the global stage.
