U.S. Senator Katie Britt of Alabama expressed her support for Doug Collins following his confirmation as Secretary of the Department of Veterans Affairs. The Senate approved President Donald Trump's nominee, who has a long history of service to the country.

Senator Britt stated, "I was proud to vote to confirm Doug Collins, who has selflessly served our country for decades." She highlighted his experience as an Iraq War veteran, military chaplain, and Colonel in the Army Reserve. According to Britt, Collins understands veterans' needs and is committed to working with Congress and leaders from both parties to reduce bureaucracy.

Britt also emphasized her confidence in Collins' ability to enhance the Department of Veterans Affairs. "I am confident Secretary Collins will do everything in his power to improve the Department of Veterans Affairs to better care for the heroes who have protected America," she said. As a veteran himself, Collins sees the VA's mission as personal and is expected to prioritize veterans' interests.
