U.S. Senator Katie Britt has cast her vote in favor of a Congressional Review Act resolution aimed at blocking the Biden Administration's Natural Gas Tax, part of the Inflation Reduction Act. This move aligns with efforts led by Senator John Hoeven and Representative August Pfluger, along with other Republican colleagues. The resolution has passed the U.S. House of Representatives and now awaits President Trump's signature to become law.

Senator Britt emphasized the significance of this action, stating, "Blocking the Natural Gas Tax is an important step toward implementing President Trump’s America-first energy agenda." She expressed her commitment to legislation that supports American energy dominance and reduces costs for consumers across various sectors.

Since assuming office, Senator Britt has advocated for American energy independence. In addition to supporting the current CRA resolution, she co-introduced the Natural Gas Tax Repeal Act with Senator Ted Cruz. This proposed legislation seeks to eliminate a methane emissions fee introduced by the Inflation Reduction Act.

Senator Britt highlighted her concerns about domestic energy industry restrictions: “It’s past time to unshackle our domestic energy industry, starting with eliminating costly fees that would drive up our energy prices.” She acknowledged her colleagues' leadership in striving for affordable and reliable energy access for Americans.

In a recent article published by Fox News Digital, Senator Britt criticized what she described as burdensome regulations from the Biden Administration's EPA: “The costs will – as always – be passed on to the consumer, meaning energy would be more expensive for all Americans.”

She also praised former President Donald Trump's plans to reverse regulatory measures from previous years: “The nominees and appointees President Trump has chosen to power energy policy in his new administration demonstrate his commitment to fixing the problems ailing us."
