U.S. Senator Katie Britt recently appeared on Newsmax to discuss the establishment of the new Republican Women’s Caucus, her initiatives to safeguard children and adolescents online, and issues surrounding district court judges' nationwide injunctions.
During the interview, Britt emphasized the importance of the Republican Women’s Caucus, stating, "We are not going to let them erase women. We’re going to stand firmly not only for our rights but for future generations." She also highlighted that issues affecting women are American issues, expressing support for policies introduced under President Trump.
On the topic of protecting young people on social media, Britt pointed out the availability of data that could prevent children under 13 from accessing these platforms. Citing the Surgeon General’s recommendation, she mentioned, "The truth is, is the data is already available. If companies wanted to, they could ensure that no one under the age of under the age of 13 got on their platform." Britt highlighted concerns over social media algorithms, stating, "The algorithms themselves send children down a rabbit hole."
Regarding nationwide injunctions, Britt expressed her support for Senator Grassley’s Judicial Relief Clarification Act. She noted, "I am proud to be a cosponsor of Senator Grassley’s efforts... [the Judicial Relief Clarification Act] will make sure that one judge, one district judge cannot issue a nationwide injunction without actually certifying a class."
These topics underline Britt's commitment to addressing issues impacting women, children, and judicial processes, while aligning with broader Republican goals.
