Gary Palmer, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Alabama's 6th district since 2015, shared several statements related to taxation, defense, and environmental issues on social media.

On April 15, 2025, Palmer emphasized the importance of maintaining the tax cuts established during the Trump administration in 2017. "Congress MUST keep the 2017 Trump Tax Cuts in place," he stated. Palmer warned of significant financial impacts if these tax cuts are not extended, including a 24% tax hike for Alabamians, reduced death tax exemptions for family-owned farms, and a $1,695 tax increase for an average family of four.

Later the same day, Palmer commented on a report from the Department of Defense Inspector General regarding the U.S. Space Command's location. "The Department of Defense Inspector General's report proves what President Trump was right about all along- U.S. Space Command belongs in Huntsville at Redstone Arsenal, not in Colorado," he asserted. He criticized the Biden administration's decision as politically motivated and dismissive of factual information.

In another post dated April 16, 2025, Palmer discussed concerns about a recent environmental program introduced by the Biden-Harris administration. "The Biden-Harris Administration's EPA created the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund- a program ripe for waste, fraud, and abuse of taxpayer funds due to its structure and lack of oversight," he reported. Palmer indicated that the House Commerce Committee launched an investigation into this matter.

Gary Palmer, 68, was born in Hackleburg, Alabama, in 1954, and currently resides in Hoover. He graduated from the University of Alabama in 1977 with a BS.
