Following the release of a Department of Defense Inspector General's report, Representative Gary Palmer expressed his views on the location of U.S. Space Command. According to Rep. Palmer, the report supports the stance that U.S. Space Command should be located in Huntsville, Alabama, at Redstone Arsenal. He argued that "President Trump was right" and that the Administration’s decision to move it to Colorado was politically driven.

Rep. Palmer further stated, "The Biden administration’s decision was politically motivated and disregarded the facts." He affirmed his commitment to work alongside the Alabama delegation to relocate U.S. Space Command to Huntsville, which he referred to as "the Rocket City."
